"After being in a tornado and seeing with our own eyes the destruction that one can create, we will always watch the sky when storms approach. But, now that our storm shelter is installed, we have peace of mind knowing that if another tornado strikes, we have a safe place to seek shelter.

My wife and I thought of a storm shelter as an insurance policy. You do not have to have one. If you have one and never need it, fine. But, if you have one and do need it, you are protected. If you do not have a storm shelter (insurance policy) and need it, you could be in a world of hurt.

It is a very comfortable feeling knowing that we have a safe place to go (storm shelter) in the event of a severe weather situation. Think about it. If a tornado was heading for your house or even close, where would you and your loved ones go for safety. The obvious answer is nowhere. There is absolutely no safe place above ground to go to when a tornado touches down. A tornado is like a vacuum cleaner. It destroys and sucks-up everything in its path. Including people!

Do not forget about hurricanes. With the high winds that they can generate, houses are blown completely down.
